Course project guidelines….upfront

Here is your task for this paper, which should be at least 10 pages (about 2500 words): First, choose three texts from our syllabus (you might think in terms of three specific historical moments between 1865-1915, or you might focus on a theme from our readings that stands out to you).  Looking ahead to your work as a high school English instructor, explore how you might connect these texts to events or cultural conversations that are happening in the U.S. today—without losing sight of what grounds the texts in their own historical moments. Be sure to base your observations on careful analysis of specific passages from the texts you choose.

Your paper is due two weeks after you have completed the blog entries for the course, or no later than 9/21/10 (whichever comes first).
